Fast facts about Shane van Gisbergen

New Zealand-born Shane (aka ‘SVG’) is a man of many talents. He made his mark as a three-time Supercars Champion in Australia and New Zealand before changing gears into NASCAR in the US, where he’s been pinned as the 2024 NASCAR ‘one to watch’.
He made a solid first impression in the sport winning his debut at the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series at the Chicago Street Race.
He’s competed in 508 Supercars races, 81 Supercars wins, and graced 176 podiums.

“I’m excited to be teaming up with SafetyCulture because it’s a company with products that help everyday working people,” Shane says. “They’re doing some incredible things on the world’s stage, which is similar to what I’m trying to do with my transition to NASCAR. I think that shared ambition was just something I could relate to.”

SVG’s first scheduled NASCAR race of 2024 will be on 17 February at none other than Daytona Speedway.
