Underwriting agency brings data-led loss prevention model to the United States and appoints global CEO
11 August 2026 — Insurtech SafetyCulture Care today rebrands as Mitti Insurance. Following strong growth in Australia, the business is taking the model global with its first move into the U.S., led by a newly appointed global CEO.
The new U.S. MGA is backed by Lloyd's, Chubb Global Markets and Greenlight Re. It is licensed across 51 states and jurisdictions, with an initial focus on 10 Midwestern states.
In Australia, Mitti Insurance is backed by Allianz Australia, and ties coverage to operational data from the Mitti operations system, formerly SafetyCulture, to help businesses proactively manage risk and prevent losses. The proprietary data that underpins the platform's intelligence helps Mitti Insurance price risk more accurately and prevent it more effectively than traditional insurers.

Analysis of Mitti Insurance's portfolio shows that policyholders who use the Mitti platform run 19% lower claims costs and a 9% better loss ratio than those who don't. 1Trippas White Group, the hospitality services group behind iconic venues like the Sydney Opera House, has cut claims in some areas by 35%.
Strengthening leadership in its next phase of growth
As the business expands, Mitti Insurance has appointed John Blake as Chief Executive Officer to lead its international growth. Blake previously served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer at SafetyCulture, where he played a central role in the company's transformation from a single-product solution to an all-in-one operations system that brings together software, hardware, consumables and insurance.
Together, Cummins and Blake bring complementary expertise across insurance and technology.
