National Storage provides storage solutions for commercial and residential customers. They have 180+ locations across Australia and New Zealand, and complete up to 7,000 quality, health, and safety checks a year. We discovered how they used the Mitti Platform to implement new safety measures.

‘Complete operational shift’

National Storage needed to deploy change at all levels when COVID-19 hit, because they had to make sure they could maintain and operate their centers safely for staff and customers. They created a ‘COVID checklist’ in Mitti (by SafetyCulture) – a simple checklist that could be adopted and implemented quickly to keep up with the traffic of people coming and going from the self-storage units at all times of the day and night.

‘Mitti (by SafetyCulture) allowed us to have consistency’

With Mitti (by SafetyCulture), National Storage easily rolled out an “Essential Cleaning List” – a daily check done by all staff, at every facility, every day.

“All of our doors, pin pads, elevators, bathrooms are cleaned three to four times a day. Our centers are cleaner than they have been, and our staff are taking a lot of pride in keeping them clean and risk-free. They have peace of mind that their risk of contraction is very minimal.” – Aimeé Sibbald.

National Storage staff can easily check what is being completed day-to-day in terms of guidelines and processes for sanitization and hygiene. Mitti (by SafetyCulture) allowed them to provide employees with structure and a consistent approach, and they’ve even built campaigns around their checks, communicating safety measures to customers.
