Shared Space Safety Checklist

This shared space checklist helps teams maintain safe, compliant common areas during construction or refurbishment works. It guides daily and end-of-day checks to keep fire exits and final exit routes available, fire doors closed and unobstructed, corridors free of trip hazards and materials, and flammable items stored securely. It prompts verification that smoke detectors are not covered except during dusty work and are restored after, that fire panels are not tampered with, penetrations in compartment walls or ceilings are risk assessed and controlled, and that emergency lights, AOVs, and other life safety systems remain fully functional.
