Offered in Universal Class, the Sensitivity Training in the Workplace discusses concepts on diversity and sensitivity, especially in workplace settings. It contains lessons that help identify various differences among individuals present in any organization. It mainly focuses on general diversity concepts, such as the proper approach in dealing with generational diversity. But, it also discusses the LGBTQIA+ community, in particular, to help you understand and develop sensitivity towards the diverse spectrum of sexual identities.

Available in Coursera, the Gender and Sexuality: Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace by the University of Pittsburgh is designed to analyze different identities and their relationships to see how culture is shaped in the workplace. This gender inclusivity course includes an introduction to a set of key LGBTQIA+ terms like transgender vs. cisgender, nonbinary, and even genderless. Then, it further dives into the history of gender, sexuality, and trans rights including related theories. By empowering your employees with a deeper understanding of their diversity, especially in the aspect of their gender expression and sexuality, they are able to be more proactive in creating a respectful and positive culture in the workplace. The modules of this course are also delivered through self-paced videos with supplemental reading materials and quizzes for each lesson.

Diversity and Inclusion is a free online course available on Mitti (by SafetyCulture) designed to help your employees embrace their differences in the workplace. In this course, you’ll understand the value of diversity key concepts on fostering diversity and inclusivity. You’ll also learn how to recognize and eliminate unconscious biases. It also provides guidelines on cultivating an inclusive culture, including ways to incorporate it in communicating with your co-workers and creating employee resource groups. While this course highlights mostly general concepts on diversity, the insights you can find here will still help you break stereotypes so you can foster a gender-inclusive culture. Like all courses in Mitti (by SafetyCulture), this course takes the form of microlessons so it only takes a couple of minutes to complete, making this a really convenient course to take.

This Gender Discrimination in the Workplace course by Alison highlights the key issues of gender inequality, toxic masculinity, transphobia, and discrimination, including their origins and causes. This course begins with a comprehensive discussion on workplace gender biases and inequalities, including global statistics and research findings. It also points out the causes of such discrimination, which leads to tackling topics on gender ideologies and social role theory. It also includes lessons that cover the different legislative constructs of a few countries, and how they approach issues on gender discrimination in the workplace.

In a partnership with UNITAR, Mitti (by SafetyCulture) developed The Importance of Women in Disaster Risk Reduction. This course explores the role of women and the gender lens in preparing against disasters. In celebration of International Women’s Day, this course demonstrates the impacts of women's leadership in disaster risk reduction, including some of the DRR organizations that support this principle. It also tackles how to look at disasters with a gender lens. In turn, it allows you to appreciate how women can be agents of change, which is backed by different studies and initiatives. Lastly, it emphasizes the relationship between gender and disaster risk reduction. But it doesn’t end there yet. To make the lessons from this course even more convincing, it provides a few case studies on women’s leadership in disaster risk reduction.

The Gender Diversity course by Diversity Builder was created to help you understand the complexities of gender, including the different gender identities and expressions. Hosted in FutureLearn, The Understanding Gender Inequality course by the University of Exeter focuses on the impacts of gender inequality at work, at home, and in society. This course explores gender and its binary and non-binary forms, including the influences of the different cultures on them. It then goes into detail on how gender inequality manifests in the workplace, especially in the aspects of compensation, job roles, promotions, and more. For a more holistic understanding, it also covers the effects of gender inequality at home and society in general. By the end of the course, you’ll learn how to stay gender neutral and to challenge these inequalities and become aware of the different campaigns, legislation, and practices that support gender equality.

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) also offers an hour-long gender inclusivity training course that you can use to learn more about the basics of gender equality. It defines gender equality, diversity and inclusion, and some diversity issues commonly faced at work, like stereotypes, bias, and discrimination. Through this course, you’ll also discover solutions that can help your organization establish a healthy and more inclusive culture. The video course is available on YouTube and can be accessed for free.

The Race, Gender and Workplace Equity course by edX digs deep into the most vital leadership and communication skills for managing unconscious bias and eliminating racism in the workplace. You’ll also get to explore the nature of Emotional Tax and how it impacts the workplace. Towards the end of this course, you’ll also learn the difference between gender equity and gender equality, along with some ideas on how you can address gender inequity and build an inclusive environment where everyone feels safe and welcome.

This gender inclusivity training course is quite long. It will run for two months, requiring at least 1-2 hours per week to complete it.
